We will continue to follow on with the numerous themes, which
are intertwined throughout Revelation. So, another theme dealt with in the book
is the person of Jesus Christ within chapters 11-16 of the Revelation. What we
read here is a little different from what we have seen of Jesus in the gospels.
John recorded here in this section of the revelation that Jesus is the King and
the One who deserves and gets royal worship. Then this section concludes with Jesus
Christ making the promise that He is coming back again.
Here are some of the things,
which John saw and then recorded concerning Jesus Christ in this section,
·
He is the owner and King of the world: Rev 11:15
·
He is the male child, of this chapter: Rev 12:5
·
He is the one who will reap the righteous: Rev 14:14-16; cf.
Rev 14:17-20 and an angel will reap the unrighteous
·
The song of the Lamb of God declares that He is great and all
the nations will come and worship before Him: Rev 15:3-4
·
He stated that He is the coming One: Rev 16:15
Pause
in His presence for a moment and think this over…
