Peace: Never Be in a Hurry by Ps Michael Podhaczky

Stop for a moment and think about yesterday? What was it like, were you rushing here and there? Did you lose your inner peace, because of your external world? Was yesterday like that for you? Honestly, we have all been in this situation. What about today, how is it going up to now?
Pause in His presence for a moment and think this over

As Christ-followers, we have received an inner peace that is from God. This happened the very second that we came into a relationship with Him as we were born anew. When this happened, we experienced one of God attributes, that is His peace. Paul said in the letter to the Romans,
“May the God of peace be with you all. Amen” (Rom 15:33, ESV).
He who is all peace (not just peaceful) is always with us because our life is always hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:3). When we came into a relationship with Him, we made our peace with Him and are not His enemies, but entered into His peace and remain with Him.

On this matter of our being in God and experiencing inner peace, it has been said that,
“Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.”[1]
If we stop and think about it, one of the most significant challenges to our inner peace is external turmoil. This could be events, people or society.

We need to (not have to), live lives that are not governed or hurried by the external. Instead, we are to rest in our loving and peaceful God at all times. Whenever we find ourselves being driven by the external, we may need to stop and realign ourselves with Him. This peace is not a commodity, but a state of being in our relationship with God. What about right now, how is it going, honestly, how is it going?
Pause in His presence for a moment and think this over…
